Sports Fair.
On Wednesday
16th April, there will be a sports fair at All Saints School. A number
of local sports clubs and activity providers will be there, including
Weymouth Football Club, Portland Red Triangle Cricket Club and Weymouth
College Sports Centre. Year 4 children from our school will be
attending during the day, and the fair is open to members of the public
from 3pm until 6pm. Please feel free to come along and try a new
sport.

Well done Beth!
Beth took up biathlon and Biathles
January last year (2007) . She qualified for the world championships at
Salford in August having already won the British round of the
world series in June (held in Weymouth). The biathle involves a
continuous run,swim run: at her age (10 and under) it is a
500m run then a 50m sea swim finished off by a 500m run. The world
championships were held in Monaco and she led the British team home to
finish in 3rd position behind 2 south Africans. Since then she has come
2nd in the British triathlon championships and just recently finished
in 6th at the English schools biathlon. So join me in
congratulating Bethan in her amazing sporting achievement, well done!
